B0221 - New Beginnings - Designer: Jess Italia Lincoln
Featured Project - January 2011

Inspired by our New Beginnings theme this personalized keepsake mothers bracelet was designed for my sister Katie who is having her first baby. I thought stamping the babies name, birth date, weight & height on small bezel connectors was a fun way to treasure this special memory, (of course once the baby is born I will re-stamp the bezels with the correct information, for now I used her last name, due date and our nieces weight and height when she was born)

Create a special keepsake mothers bracelet for yourself, a loved one or friend... The possibilities are endless!

Check out our Letter Imprinting Technique Video for instructions!

STEP by STEPS

Step 1: Create Personalized Keepsake Connectors
A. Place steel block on rubber block or sandbag. Place bezel on steel block.
B: Use a 1.5mm letter stamp set & 1lb brass hammer to imprint babies name, birth date and weight/height information on three individual game piece bezels.
C. Apply white acrylic paint dabbers to the surface of the bezels. Use a paper towel to remove the excess paint, leaving it only in the creases to accentuate the words.
Optional apply ICE Resin or your favorite sealer in the bezel if you prefer a dimensional look.

Step 2: Prepare Beaded Drops & Links
A. String the loop of a Tanglewood fastenable and lampwork lentil bead onto an eye pin. Form a simple or double coiled loop to secure. Use your fingers to form and mold the fastenable to the shape of the glass bead.
B. String a home nest pewter bead onto an eye pin. Form a simple loop.
C. String small faceted beads, bead caps and Czech glass flowers onto pearl head pins. Form a wrapped loop. Create a variety of beaded drops.
D. String a glass pearl and pewter flower bead cap onto a head pin. Form a simple loop.

Step 3: Connect Components
A. Use jump rings to connect bezels with bead links in between each.
B. Attach beaded dangles from loops of bezel connectors using jump rings, alternating sizes & styles.
C. Attach pewter flower clasp to the end of a bezel and attach a 1 inch section of chain to the opposite end of flower. Add a large beaded dangle to the end of chain.
D. Attach a standard hook to the opposite end of bracelet.
E. Secure hook through any of the links of chain depending on desired bracelet length.

Your custom mothers bracelet is complete, Enjoy!
