November 2007 Featured Project!

Use Acorn leaf connectors to add exquisite detail to your earring designs. With art glass and Swarovski crystal in rich ambers, golds and greens, this project is sure to inspire!

Materials:
Natural brass beads & findings:
C4H10- 30 x 12mm Acorn Leaves Connector
BC50- 7.5mm Ornate Bead Cap
ER40- 20 x 15mm Round Loop Ear Wire
BD180- 2mm Crimp Bead HP1- 1" Head Pin
JR20- 4.5mm Jump Ring

Tools & Supplies:
TS-03 - Ergonomic Rosary Plier, Round with Cutter
TS-04 - Ergonomic Chain Nose Plier with Cutter

Other materials:
15mm amber AB faceted glass tear drop
4mm hyacinth Swarovski bi-cone
4mm sun Swarovski bi-cone
4mm aqua & green faceted glass rondelle
12mm green art glass leaf

STEP by STEPS

Step 1: Create your drops. A: String one amber AB Swarovski tear drop and one 7.5mm bead cap onto one 1" head pin. String one hyacinth Swarovski bi-cone onto one 1" head pin. String one sun Swarovski bi-cone onto one 1" head pin. String one aqua & green rondelle onto one 1" head pin. String one art glass leaf onto one 1" head pin. Use the linking technique to make the loops on the drops. Attach one 4.5mm jump ring to the hyacinth drop.
Step 2: Embellish you ear wire.
A: String one aqua & green rondelle and one 2mm crimp bead onto one round loop ear wire.
Use chain nose pliers to flatten the 2mm crimp bead on the ear wire making sure that the crimp is centered.
Step 3: Attach your components.
A: Use three 4.5mm jump rings to attach the acorn leaves connector to the ear wire. .
B: Use one 4.5mm jump ring to attach the art glass leaf drop and hyacinth drop to the ear wire.
C: Use 4.5mm jump rings to attach the rondelle drop, amber AB tear drop, and sun drop to each of the three bottom openings on the acorn leafes connector.

Step 3: Repeat Steps 1, 2 & 3 to create the second earring.

Your earrings are complete, Enjoy!
