| I created this piece as a sample for our Altered Journal Necklace Workshop at Bead&Button 2011. Starting from the back I textured the arte metal Name Plate tag and imprinted "Give a Hoot." The next layer is a textured Dog Tag, imprinted with "One World" and embellished with a bird in flight rub-on.
The top Dog Tag was hammered & textured, then painted with Snowcap acrylic Paint Dabber and then covered in a mix of alcohol inks.
The Perched Owl Charm was hammered, then dabbed with turquoise paint and wiped clean so that the color was left in the details of the owl.
I tied a scrap of frayed denim recycled from old jeans through the hole at the end of the Name Plate. |
